King's Narrow Escape in Warsaw Conspiracy Attack

London Gazette reports a December Warsaw assassination attempt on the king. Six Confederates led by Captain Koczinsky stopped the king's coach near Capuchin Street, wounding aides and two Heyducks. Koczinsky later fled, but the king was recovered and returned to the castle after a night in a poor cottage. Te Deum praised his preservation.
