Drowned Passenger From Sally at Holy Island
May 18 report from Eninsureu notes R William Read, recently from abroad, drowned at Holy Island after alighting supply from the Sally captained by Thompson. He lingered behind others, and while leaving the island by land at an unsafe point, was swept over by the tide. Other shipping notices include vessels sailing to Africa, Barcelona, Halifax and America, plus arrivals at Tortola and Liverpool ports from London and Tortola.
