Royal Session and naval appointments in 1748 parliament
Yesterday his Majesty signed multiple bills in the House of Peers including land tax aid for 1748, mutiny and desertion punishment, and measures against French ship assurance. Reports name new appointments in Warwick, Flushing, and Woolwich yards, with clergy convocation honors and naval command redistributions. Disturbances include cattle distemper in Holderness and a French privateer captured.
