Orders to move regiments for America reversed
Edinburgh reports shifting troop movements. An express ordered the 3d 71th and 30th regiments in England and Scotland to Ireland to replace eight regiments slated for America. A countermand halted the plan, then a third express ordered the march to Ireland again, with part of the 30th already in motion.
