Treachery at the Treasury and the Trial of Pratt
A 1711 scene recalls the Treasury robbery by Pratt and a fire to hide the theft. Pratt consulted Sir Toby Butler, paid a fee, and reportedly pleaded for a treaty to avoid exposure. Butler allegedly warned of consequences. Pratt was acquitted, leaving readers to judge any resemblance to modern cases.
