Knutsford Races Purse Notices at Knutsford 1771

On Tuesday July 36 a purse of fifty pounds for four year old horses fillies or spepping carrying weights set by age and sex best of three two mile heats. On Wednesday July 31 a purse of fifty pounds for five year old horses geldings or mares carrying weights with extra allowances. On Thursday August 1 the town purse of fifty pounds with take and ride conditions for four hands and higher weights by age and height. Entries close July 27 at the George in Knutsford with breeders certificates and stewards to decide disputes. Assemblies and ordinaries as usual.
