Public Revenue totals and 1790 fire aftermath in Glasgow

The weekly public revenue across Customs Excise Stamps and Incidents totals 224391 pounds 19 shillings 63 pence for the week ending July 9 1790. A Carlscrone fire on the 22nd last destroyed 1087 houses and warehouses two churches and nearly all military hospitals and effaries. From January 1 to June 30 the Gazette lists 311 Palersptt names. The University of Glasgow awarded Mr Merry a Master of Arts degree.
