The piece surveys courtly shifts and new alliances echoing cardinal imitation, notes iron mines near Berry, and praises Duke Maurepas for funding hospital relief. It reports arrivals from Newcastle and Gibraltar, lottery plans for 1748, and several local urban incidents, including drownings, hangings, accidents, and crimes, with further notes on marriages and deaths.
