Holy Hermitage of Monst eratte Described by a Wanderer

A Wanderer recounts the Holy Mountain hermitage near Montferatte. The ascent takes hours, with a rock fortress and a small chapel inside a cliffside dwelling. Birds feed at the hermit’s mouth as he prays, crosses mark the garden, and monks below rarely glimpse visitors. The piece notes the hermit’s vow, occasional contact with monks, and unyielding devotion despite solitude.
