English Salt Import Permitted into Denmark, 18 December

From the London Gazette December 18 notes a late order permitting English salt imports into Denmark with a duty of eight rix dollars per last of twelve barrels plus excise. Berlin December 7 reports the King of Prussia and the Princess Royal arriving from Potsdam and royal visits between Oranienburg, the Queen Dowager of Sweden, and Princess Sophia Albertina, with healthful arrivals and introductions to the Prussian royal family.

General Assembly chooses Galloway speaker in province meeting

In the Pennsylvania style report the assembly convened on Monday with Joseph Galloway named Speaker. Benjamin Franklin is appointed Agent for the province at the Court of Great Britain for the coming year. Foreign and domestic notices follow including arrivals, marriages, and local incidents with varied detail.
