Deal December 15 ships arrive and sail for the river with Nautilus Three Sisters Mary and others listed. Remaining in the Downs are Prince of Asturias Atalanta Justina Polly Linenhall. The Friendship lost anchor and cable and main mizen mats in a gale but rides at anchor in the Gull Stream. Wind W with towing heavy.

The Queen held a full Drawing-room yesterday with many introductions to the Queen including Fletcher, Lord Amelius Beauclerk, and others. The Prince of Wales attended the Drawing-room at St James's before a hunt at Kempshot Park. The House of Commons will adjourn Friday to February 3. A Paris fashion note mocks royal titles while a Constantinople report cites Sultan's displeasure over a Swedish peace and withdrawal of guards from the Swedish ambassador.
