Ships ordered to repair to Chatham to be paid off

Gosport August 28 Thursday orders arrived for Terrible and St. Alban's to repair to Chatham and be paid off, with Revolution and Marlborough to be laid up here in their room. Portsmouth August 30 a marine lieutenant, distraught, has left his wife and child. A poor woman left her child under a hedge while in a field, and returning found it nearly eaten by a hog.
