Subscription drive aids North American clergy relief
In April 1770 a notice calls for subscriptions to aid distressed clergy in North America. It lists donors and churches in England including Oxford, Sutton, Ramsgate, and Norwich, with bankers in Fleet Street and Charing Cross handling payments. The appeal aims to support bishops, clergy, and the Free Grammar School in the town.
