King grants church livings and titles amid diplomatic notices

Military promotions announced by the King

Saturday arrived the Mail from Holland. The King appointed Count Banfyarg Major-General de Manfredini as Privy-Connestors. His Majesty made promotions including Major-Generals da Vecfey and Standey to Lieutenant Field Madthal, Colonel Kray to Major-General, and Prince William of Anhalt-Bernbourg-Schambourgh made Captain in his infantry. Farm Fire Near Whit Church Destroys Livestock and Outbuildings

A dreadful fire at a Shrewsbury area farm on a Wednesday night near Whit Church destroyed all outbuildings. Twenty five cows and fourteen horses perished along with corn and hay. The loss is reported as very great.
