Polish envoy arrives amid unsettled affairs in Europe

Friday reports from foreign affairs note Branicky, Grand General of the Crown of Poland, arrived with Count Potocky. Public interest centers on possible arrival of Count Poniatowski. In Frenning, Major General Count de Wallis is named Counsellor of State and heads to Bohemia to investigate late disturbances. A large sum of 700,000 Youbles said sent to Poland.

Kilkenny White Boys trial and Ballintemple seizure

In Kilkenny on March 27 Michael Buler and Edmund Butler two White Boys were tried and found guilty. Buler burned the office of John Grant at Kilmogue while Butler cut off Patrick Pigott’s ear and flitted the other. They were sentenced to be executed on the 30th instant. Sunday night at Ballintemple William Paul Butler seized firearms hidden by White Boys in the mountains near Borris. He recovered guns swords and pistols, seven feet eight inch long firearms among them. Waterford reports a foundered pedlar murdered and robbed, with head severed from body.

York court awards damages in marriage nonperformance case

In Leeds York offices Sir Henry Gould presided in a suit where widow Mary Sanderson sued a merchant for nonperformance of a marriage promise. The jury found for the plaintiff with social damages. The plaintiff is 50 years old and the defendant around sixty.

Arrivals and Departures of Ships to and from Major Ports
