Notice to advertisers sets strict deadlines for alterations to standing ads and copy for space contracts. It states no changes will be accepted on the day received and that exceptions will not be made. It mentions rates and sections for casual advertisements including agency sales and amusements.
A fragmentary Geelong newspaper item covers local events including council tree cutting responses, public notices, and a forthcoming athletic and musical program. It mentions railway arrangements for supporters traveling to Melbourne for a interstate football match, and notes on civic committees, strikes, and community announcements.
The council will not rush removal of any trees in the principal streets. A full investigation will examine the trees on both sides before any final action. The approach is deemed prudent to avoid irretrievable harm.
