The Union Bank of Australia informs customers that after February 13 deposits will earn no interest on current balances and on hold receipts at three months’ notice. Interest on them will be limited to three percent. MERVYN MANN, Manager.
Immigrants from Oxfordshire and Northern Ireland, totaling 50 in Manutep Maces and 40 in Unmanntao MALes, plus 53 in Unmaunted Frances, have passed the immigration Board of Inspection and are ready for employment. Employers are advised to board the Wal lace off William's Town to select servants such as farm hands, masons, carpenters, and house servants.
The stockholders under Robert and Joseph Sutherland dissolved the partnership by mutual consent. All claims due to and by the late firm will be received and paid by Robert Sutherland. Branded on the neck, hollow near the neck, and under the mane, illegible brand noted. Information leading to recovery to Cullen and Evans of Worth Geelong. February 13, 1844.
Samuel George appeals to district benevolence for a Geelong labourer who has suffered extensive illness and two leg amputations due to scrofula. He has worked as a farm labourer for years, has been unable to work since July, and seeks subscriptions via the paper with character references from two former employers. He resides at Napoleon De La Ray's Lodging House and will answer inquiries himself.
