At a Town Hall meeting the St John’s Ambulance Committee resolved to disband and re form as the Fremantle centre to be approved by Perth. A new committee was named with Captain Airey as patron and J Cooke as chairman. Funds were tight and the ambulance van purchase would be paid for.

South Beach foreshore to be top dressed with bitumen

Council moves to improve the South Beach foreshore between the Hydrodrome and seawall after Public Works removed a railway line leaving the surface rough. Town Hall extensions plans by Allen and Nicholas reviewed with minor alterations. Tenders soon, to aid unemployment relief. Station Approach improvements led by E H Gray and J B Sleeman with optimism of success.
