In Regina Haultain opposed a McDonald motion for liquor traffic returns, saying pamphlets and official papers would be laid before the House later. The assembly ordered land grant and tax lists tabled while discussing provincial autonomy and future representation.

In Ottawa on March 21 the Senate heard Mr. Perley seek a large grant for the North West Territories and inquire about entry into confederation under provincial autonomy including terms proposed by the territory. North-West Judges Assigned to Calgary Edmonton Regina and Moosomin

The North-West judges are reassigned with Justice Maguire to Calgary Justice Prentergast to Prince Albert Justice Scott to Edmonton Justice Richardson to Regina and Justice Wetmore to Moosomin. A party of 1000 Mormons travels overland from Utah to Southern Alberta near Cardston to join fellow colonists.

Bullock Hanged for Murder at Fort Saskatchewan

Special dispatch reports Bud Bullock executed at Fort Saskatchewan at 7 03 am for the murder of Leon W Stainton. D F Binkley stood in for Radcliffe and carried out the sentence with calm efficiency.
