A large crowd gathered at St. Augustin's church on Monday evening for the marriage of W. J. Glass and Miss Elizabeth J. Fleetwood. Rev. Magnan officiated as friends and the choir added to the solemn ceremony. The bride was assisted by her bridal party and the vows marked the start of their life together.

After the ceremony the party visited the bride’s parents home and then Oliver's hall for a reception with Bennett's orchestra. Mr. Torrie read The Wreck of the Hesperus, while W. A. Jeffrey offered a humorous note on The Courtship of Miles Standish and his own interpretation of the Psalm of Life.
