Bankers Triumph Over Lawyers In Local Hockey Clash

At the Macleod skating rink on Friday night the Bankers defeated the Lawyers 4 to 1. Bankers Bell Andrews Tinning McKernan Aiken McGowan Fawcett Cameron Cooper Grant Dickson Hicks faced the Lawyers with a strong defense while Hicks in goal made several key stops amid a lively center dispute and crowd-pleasing scrums.

Oil Well Machinery Headed for Canadian North-West Oil Co

Four and a half carloads of drilling rigs from Toledo, Ohio, are en route to the Canadian North-West Oil Company which owns 1920 acres near Pincher Creek in the Flathead country. Local Victoria capital is present. notable figures include Henderson, D. W. Bole, Captain Newcomb, and A Maxwell Muir. The firm has exposed shale beds and two natural gas springs near the surface. The gas is noted as an exhalation from oil.

Alberta oil bed seen as continent’s hot reserve

Expert Mr Yarrow calls Southern Alberta the continent s hot oil bed with refining slated near wells.
