Jemalong Shire Council approves road purchase and fixes repairs

Jemalong Shire Council held a Saturday meeting with Councillors Brown Sly Rawlins Grieve Low and Noakes present. The president approved authorizing A A Sharp to close and buy a road across his property with a boundary road left on the southern edge Yarrabandal Reserve. The Lands Department would only allow 20 acres for the Yarrabandal watering place. The engineer suggested a site west of the recreation ground but the area was deemed too small. Residents raised road repair needs from Pinnacles to Forbes and creeks near various farms. Funds were unavailable so many requests were deferred.
