Forbes Show Perseveres Amid War And Drought
Amid drought and wartime strain the Forbes P.A. and H. Association pressed on with its 7th annual show. Despite reduced prize money and lower entries, the event drew crowded sideshows and a strong showing of elite exhibits. Acting President A. P. Schwartz led volunteers, while H. O. Elliott opened the show and urged continued farming to bolster Australia’s food supply during the war.
