Stock Conditions in State Report Shows Few Diseases
The Department of Agriculture reports no increase in infectious disease statewide with only one outbreak of anthrax and one of swine dysentery. Pasture improvements and dry weather affected stock health, with notable gains where feeding and shelter were emphasized, though the southwest and central west show poorer outlooks for pastoralists. The North Coast and Tablelands improved, and the North West remains promising once rain effects fade.
