Forbes supporters celebrate a revival of football as the Forbes Club plans a town hall gathering next Wednesday night to boost interest in intramural competition. The event features an old-time dance and supper, with tickets 2 shillings 6p.

The Forbes branch of the CWA met on Saturday June 16 with 21 members present. Mrs Beddice presided as president. a brief business session followed a social afternon by the fire. Members noted the use of the fire and rooms in winter and an inspection of mineral water. A ball profit totaled £62 with expenses of £40 10s and £27 raised beforehand. Thanks were given to secretaries Mesdames Mulloy Pavey Friedland Hood and to Mrs Tickner collector and Mrs Bededie for their work.
