Outside Council's Province on Wheat Scheme
The Forbes branch of the Farmers and Settlers Association discussed Mr W J Scully’s wheat plan for Commerce. A resolution approved the scheme with guarantees, noting approval depended on Government endorsement and adjustments to per bushel guarantees, pool balances, and licensing concerns. The meeting elected to send a letter to the Minister for Commerce outlining terms and the need for cooperative pooling and fair payments.
