Forbes Municipal Council meets with full attendance as Aldermen debate street work drainage and sanitary schemes. Deputies fill clerk duties while plans advance for eleven new homes and government building material access for alterations.
At Forbes Municipal Council meeting health inspector J Prem presented a special report on Lucerne carting and pulverising at the corner of Union and Bucket streets. Residents complain of green dust blowing on market day, settling on gardens and clothing. Mier Bros have tried to abate the nuisance but if dust cannot be prevented the operation may cease. Council approved the report and adopted it.
A motion to approve tenders for vehicles was debated with two opposing votes. The amendment was seconded by Alderman but when put to a vote the motion passed seven to two.
