Water overwhelm in mine sinking progress reported
The Forbes Advocate notes that water has been bailed from the drift of the Jumetion Mining Syndicate shaft. Manager J Birnie says pumping will continue and the shaft boxes will be reinforced to be watertight. Sinking 120 feet of clay is planned, with Alf the diver praised for his work amid steady progress toward locating the shaft water outlet.
