Murray cod fishing at Wee Jasper yields 85lb catch
E N Southwell, F W Gaylord from Tamworth landed an 85 pound Murray cod at Tilba. The fish fought fiercely as it splashed mud and thrashed water while they hauled it to shore. Southwell wrestled the animal by its gills with Gaylord assisting as they dragged the beast onto the boat and later estimated the weight at five pounds before cleaning.
