Mr. Peake headmaster of For bes LESS informed FP Association members he had no preeps to add swimming to the high school curriculum. He stated an application was made and awaited official sanction with hearty approval from the Association members.
Casen of rifles and clothing parcels for the Forbes unit of the US 4th Infantry Battalion arrived by goods train at Forbes from Military Headquarters. The exact numbers are unknown but are expected to be issued to recruits Thursday at the Scout Hall, allowing immediate training in military routines before camp at month end.
Hamilton Huse and Emily Hume of Leopold St Croydon claim to be the Empire’s oldest twins as they near 92 in May. Born May 3 and May 4, 1041, they remain active walking to church each Sunday. Their father John Hume immigrated from England and opened Bathurst’s first national school. Hamilton also became a teacher.
