A fire started from a saw dust pile but was stopped from threatening a shed and weatherboard reuse at 17 Show Street on Wednesday morning. In Forbes Court on Tuesday Everard Treteun faced a charge of negligence after a seven year old, Charles Reyberis, was injured. Evidence showed defective brakes and a poorly lit area along Flint Street. While the charge was proved, no conviction was recorded, with a court cupis ogni charged.
Edward Pout of Forbes was fined with costs totalling £4 for four charges of failing to connect sewerage and failure to abate a nuisance. The case occurred at the Cowt House on Tuesday with Mr Blackmore presiding, Mr J O'Neill representing the Municipal Council and Mr R Fulmer for the defendant.
