Geneva report indicates Russia faces almost certain expulsion from the League of Nations today. A unanimous vote is required, with some nations expected to abstain. John Richmond Young a 42 year old Forbes railway bridge repairer working between Molong and Manildra was killed when struck by a goods train near Manildra. His widow and eight children remain in Forbes at Fornell Street as funeral plans proceed with the remains to be interred at the Forbes Church of England cemetery.

Edward Joseph Smith aged 63 died at Brentwood hospital after noon Wednesday. A Bedgerabong and Forbes resident for over 50 years he worked in the orange Bourke trade and later farmed.
