The Shire Clerk announces under Ordinance No. 14 that the electoral roll for the coming term will be available for public review from 15 to 30 August at designated polling places and the council offices. Qualified residents not listed may enrol by 31 August and objections or claims forms may be obtained at the Shire Office during office hours.
The Municipality of Forbes announces a two year period to prepare a land and planning scheme under the Local Government Act. The council resolves to prepare the scheme, subject to ministerial approval, with interim development restrictions and the need to study a published bulletin. Town Clerk D. F. Dempsey signs the notice dated 18 August 1947.
The Annual General Meeting of the club will be held in the US Rouns on Wednesday the ith August at pm. Senior and Junior Maids are required at District Hospital. Wages: Seniors e3 4 a week clear, Juniors 15 a week year, 40 hour work. Apply to The Matron.
