The pleasant weather brings a bright scene as hall committee expects arrival of the hall piano this week. A menae tea will be tendered to Miss Ethel Brus on Wednesday in the hall. Reports indicate K H Byrnes and J B Franks will shortly depart the district. If not, both will be greatly missed.
A Corréespondent reports heavy rain boosts crops while a July 28 social at Yarrabandi hall raised funds for Parkes District Hospital. Friends and well wishers in Goolagong presented Mr T Melliday with a gold medal at Mr Herbert’s Nanimi residence in recognition of his kindness in playing for district dances.
