W J Bowles of Manildra was convicted at Forbes Court on failing to move 2100 sheep the required daily distance. From Friday to Sunday the herd covered only seven miles, not six miles per day, with Bowles claiming the animals were weak. He was fined £2 plus costs. a similar charge also led to £2 costs.
