Shelley Bone China Tea Set Promises Strength and Beauty

Hina of such fairy lightness as a Shelley tea set might well seem too delicate to face the risk of servants hurried handling. Yet the quality of English Bone China is to have a toughness that makes it far stronger than its thin, translucent substance might suggest. The name of Shelley on every piece stands for strength as well as beauty.

Goolagong Postal Official Departs Leaving Regret

GOOLAGONG Young Postal Official Departure Regretted From Our Own Master Clem. Hogan, an official of the local Post Office, received notice during the week of his transfer to Dubbo. This is a matter of regret to the public of the district, as Master Hogan has always been noted for this obliging manner, and his fidelity in all official matters. We wish him every success in the future, and feel assured, if he continues on the same principle, he will be a highly efficient official. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Squires, on the death of her sister in law, the late Mrs. Alford, of Eugowra. Her death occurred in Moira Hospital, Cowra, on Sunday. Mrs. Dowd, senr., of Croote station, has been ill since Sunday last. Dr. Foley, of Cowra, is in attendance, and her many friends trust she will soon be on the road to recovery. AUGUST VACATION On Friday, the public schools close for their August vacation. This has been a long term, and both teachers and pupils are feeling the strain. Though it may suit Mr. Drumjane’s Minister for Education, it is not at all a popular change. Miss Agnes McLeod is at present holidaying at Mt. Kosciusko, Mr. Foley, auditor for the Bank of New South Wales, is at present visiting this centre. We are pleased to state that Mrs. L. Daley has very much improved for late. TENNIS Warrenderry tennis team defeated Goolagong second grade, 16 sets to 8 sets. Emerald Hill defeated Vychan. Messrs. Kingsley and Bartley have completed their contract on McNoes Lane.
