The king plans to visit Fontainbleau on the 20th, focusing on corn imports. Queen Anne recently visited Versailles and dispatched secret communications. A Dutch corsair incident near the West Indies is noted, with fatalities and captures. Updates cover Lord Lovelace’s speech in West Jersey, calls for unity under the queen’s example, militia reform, tax considerations, and preparations for funding defense and religion. A royal marriage in Bath and naval actions against a French privateer are also mentioned, along with a shift of expedition forces to Portugal.
