Coronation of the Empire and Imperial procession detailed
A late December report from Ratisbon describes the coronation ceremony with the great bell, processions from the market to the Cathedral, and the Emperor, escorted by Electors and ambassadors, entering the palace under a canopy. After the ceremony Cannon fired thrice and the Emperor dined in the Town House, with promises of homage and upcoming travel to Prague. The Queen of Great Britain has sent a letter about Utrecht, but six weeks are needed to relay instructions, delaying imperial dispositions.
