Malefactors Executed and Distress in Early News
Yesterday eight malefactors were executed at Tyburn at noon. Letters arrived from Plymouth reporting the Speedwell-Man of War under a captain commander from the Streights with a rear-admiral Colwell recently dead. Captain Lennard was brought under guard to Newgate awaiting treason trial. Advertisements note numerous publications and political prints from London booksellers, with claims of frauds on public funds and various new works advertised for sale.
