Fleet sails for Messina with heavy ordnance aboard
London reports from Turin that a fleet carries 32 pieces of cannon 15 mortars 3060 bombs and large quantities of grenadoes gunpowder to sail for Messina within three days. Genoa notes a Naples bound convoy attacked near Tuscany by a Spanish squadron with losses and captures. London also records May 21 sentences at Old Bailey with four death sentences and transportation orders for several others.
