Militia redeployed as Villars army draws strength
Reports from Dunkirk and Calais indicate most militia and some regulars guarding the coasts are marching to join Marshal Villars. In Solemnes camp the Right Wing of the Duke of Ormond’s forces made a foraging sortie between Chateau-Cambresis and Buffigny, returning without loss. The left wing headed toward Buffigny and Maurice. enemy squadrons moved back to their camp.
