Dissolution of the Council and new governance in Brussels
The Council of State was dissolved by the Lords of the Conference and a new council formed. The new body swore in, met at the palace, and asserted the old city and country privileges would be maintained. Orders were sent to finances and accounts to acknowledge the new authority, while Brabant’s quarterly assembly continued. Reports of military movements and European affairs follow from Mechlin, Anderiegtoe, and Vienna with various generals, couriers, and prisoner events.
