Invasion rumor and fleet movements across Europe
Reports from Cadiz and Langudoc speak of preparations for an invasion of Britain. Irish battalions and dragoons, new artillery and arms, were to sail from Port with the late Duke of Ormond commanding. Rumors also place Highlanders and Pretender supporters en route to Spain.
