Examinations and Prorogation In King’s Council

A general council met in London to lay before the king and lords the examination of Mr. Kelly. Parliament was prorogued to Tuesday September 4. Kelly underwent examination by a Council committee at the Cockpit before his removal to the Tower. A porter delivered a letter for him. the bearer, a woman, was seized and released the porter afterwards.
