Eccentric 18th Century Notices and Deaths at St Michael
A fragmented late 18th or early 19th century notice recalls Reverend Smith’s election as rector of St Michael Woodtreer, Sir Andrew Kennedy of Clouburn Bart. dead, and multiple arrests and indictments including a baker and a lodger at Newgate. It also references religious and literary publications, sermons, and charitable activities connected to parish life and shipping interests. The text mixes church appointments, legal actions, and planned publications with scattered names and places.
