Memorial on British Franco Italian diplomacy in May 1716 to 1717
A print memorial from May 26 recalls discussions between England and Cardinal Alberoni over naval actions in the Streights and a proposed alliance. It describes Britain's aim to mediate between the Catholic Majesty and Emperor, the Sardinia project, and concerns over Tuscany and Sicily, citing negotiations through Beretti Landi and London envoys.
