Beggars and Vagabonds Deported by Archers Riot in Paris
Three hundred beggars were rounded into archers in Paris and moved to hospitals or shipped to Mississippi after an ordonnance. The archers allegedly overstepped powers, killing three resisting beggars and injuring many, sparking street disturbances near Notre Dame and in Saint Anthony and Saint Martin. Parliaments sent a deputation to the king as Lord Stair departs for England.
