Eight prisoners tried in Qld Bailey court sentences recorded
On Wednesday eight prisoners faced trial with three convicted of felony two of misdemeanor and three acquitted. Death sentences were passed on several named defendants while others were transported for seven or fourteen years or imprisoned in Newgate Clerkenwell and whipped and discharged. Fine and imprisonment sentences followed for those convicted of money telling. Sessions adjourned to October 25.
