On a Sunday four men set out in a pleasure boat toward an eel near the New Deep intending to return with the next tide. A hard wind and hail storm drove them to Tea. By night they were exhausted and unable to manage the boat. Monday they drifted toward Ramey Bay where onlookers saw them and sent a boat to rescue them. They were towed into harbor and placed in beds with efforts made for their recovery, which thankfully succeeded.
