Capture of the Pettah at Bangalore 1791 detailed account

Evacuation and troop reduction across Choczim and Wallachia
From Petersburgh dated August 20 reports that by the end of September troops will evacuate Choczim Wallachia and all conquests to be restored to the Turks. Magazines are being emptied and works demolished for sale. Troops will shift to a peace establishment and French soldiers will be discharged. News of the Pacha of Acre seizing a French vessel and Mecca being attacked by Hiafnah Kiassafa, aided by Diarbeck Damas and Aleppo factions, is also noted.

Scotland Evingurgh Sept 8 The Jeffiey Stevenson from New Providence in the Bahama Islands has reached Clyde with 5500 cow hides. Two more vessels are daily expected with about 8000 hides each, a supply that will certainly lower leather prices which have risen by around sixty or seventy per cent in recent years.
